Dyplast Exhibiting at IIAR Conference

Dyplast Products, LLC will be attending and exhibiting at the 2019 IIAR Natural Refrigeration Conference and Expo scheduled March 3-6, 2019 at Sheraton Grand Phoenix Hotel in Arizona. IIAR is the world's leading advocate for the safe, reliable and efficient use of ammonia and other natural refrigerants.

Dyplast’s exhibits at the IIAR Expo have always been of high interest to attendees since our ISO-C1^® family of polyisocyanurate insulation is an integral part of the design and successful operation of refrigeration systems. ISO-C1 has had broad success over many decades as a proven, cost-effective insulation technology in low temperature mechanical and pipe applications.

We invite all attendees - - especially engineers, designers, and owners to stop by our exhibit, meet Dyplast’s staff, and discuss first-hand the economic value that ISO-C1 imparts to their operations. Our exhibit will offer more information on the full product range of polyisocyanurate insulation system products.

Dyplast Staff participates as Examiners for the 2019 Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence (SMBE) Statewide Award.

As you may recall, Dyplast received the 2018 Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence award presented by The Florida Sterling Council in collaboration withFloridaMakes after undergoing a thorough examination.

The examiner’s teams are comprised of trained examiners and industry-knowledgeable representatives who contribute their time, expertise, and diverse perspectives through a comprehensive process:

• To recognize high-performing Florida manufacturing companies.

• To offer an avenue for networking and sharing of best practices.

• To provide feedback and opportunities for improvement to encourage and

develop high performance in participant companies.

For the 2019 SMBE Awards 110 nominations have been received and are being evaluated. The winners will be announced in May 31st at the 27th Annual Governor’s Sterling Award Banquet dinner in Orlando, Florida.

Dyplast is eligible to reapply for the SMBE in 2022. Until we are again eligible for the award, our staff is “giving back” by having Yamilet Ramirez, Dyplast’s Vice President of Human Resources and Administration participate on the 2019 SMBE Examination Team. Dyplast is proud of Yamilet’s volunteer efforts.

Dyplast Helps Create Portable Produce Pod with Huntsman Corp and Kroger

“Dyplast participated with Huntsman Corporation, Kroger, and others to create a “Portable Produce Pod” - - much like a big, mobile walk-in cooler for the Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB) in Texas.

MCFB collects and distributes food to partner agency food pantries, and aims to have fresh produce make up at least 50% of its total distribution. However, most of their receiving food pantries do not have sufficient refrigerated space to hold and re-distribute perishable products. Hence the need for a refrigerated Pod.

The whole process of designing the Pod and finding manufacturers and suppliers took less than a year. Dyplast is proud to have been able to offer its ISO-CF polyisocyanurate (a modified polyurethane) insulation with the requisite thermal resistance, strength, and other advantageous properties.

Dyplast Staff Participate as Examiners for the South Florida Manufacturers Association Manufacturing Award

Recall that in 2017, Dyplast was awarded the 2017 Manufacturer of the Year in their category by SFMA.

In the 3 years until we are again eligible for the award Dyplast staff is “giving back” by participating as examiners in the 2019 SFMA selection committee. This year Dyplast has two team members participating as examiners, Yamilet Ramirez, MSHRM, PHR Vice President of Human Resources and Administration (who was a 2017 finalist for employee of the year), and Vincent Fuster, Sr. Vice President and Board of Director’s member.

The SFMA award process recognizes and congratulates Manufacturers and Employees of the Year for any manufacturing company in Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Indian River, Okeechobee, Martin, or St Lucie Counties.

For the 2019 Manufacturer of the Year award 89 nominations have been received. The award will be made at SFMA’s 40th Annual Recognition of Excellence Banquet on March 14th in Davie, Florida

We are privileged to be able to contribute to the manufacturing industry in Florida, and proud of the volunteer efforts of both Yamilet and Vincent!

Dyplast is excited about the upcoming CAMX Conference (Composites and Advanced Materials Expo) in Dallas where we will be exhibiting October 16-18. Our polyisocyanurate and polystyrene composite rigid foams are increasingly recognized as superior to alternative composite substrates such as balsa and honeycomb designs - - and lower cost in many cases. Dyplast’s high capacity production and quick turn-around on high-strength light-weight rigid foam sheets can add significant value to demanding composite applications - - including those with large dimensions and precision tolerances.
